Gordon D. Cox
President
Gordon is a native of Muncie and has 46 years of service at Meeks and 51 years total experience in the funeral industry. He is a member of Rotary International, Junto, and has served on many boards such as Muncie-Delaware County Community Foundation and Ball Memorial Hospital/Clarian.
Dave Cox
Business Manager
Dave is a graduate of Ball State University and has been with Meeks for over 13 years. He has 3 children and has been married for over 17 years. Dave is involved with several local organizations including Rotary International and helps with insurance, accounting, and veteran’s issue questions.
Mike Steed
Funeral Director
Mike graduated from Eastern Kentucky University and Cincinnati College of Mortuary Science. He is from Northern Indiana and has spent over 26 years at Meeks, and has been a member of Crestview Golf Course and Muncie Bowling Association for many years. Mike is also a member of Eagles Lodge F.O.E. #231.
John Emge
Funeral Director
John is from Evansville, IN and moved to Muncie in 1989. He attended Indiana College of Mortuary Science and graduated from Vincennes University’s Funeral Service Program in 1979. He has been with Meeks for over 21 years.
Patrick O'Connor
Funeral Director
Patrick is a native of Union City and graduated from Ball State University in Business Management in 1998 and Mid America College of Funeral Service in Jeffersonville, IN in 1999. He is a member of Muncie Elks Lodge and Ball State University Alumni Association and serves as the administrator for the Delaware County Funeral Directors Association
Jerry Miller
Funeral Director
Jerry is a 1992 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School and a 1995 graduate of Mid America College of Funeral Service. His hobbies include motorcycles and music.
Keith J. Warner
Funeral Director
Keith is a native of Northern Illinois and has been serving families for 23 years. He graduated from Judson University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Management & Leadership in 2004 and Worsham College of Mortuary Science in 1992. He enjoys spending time with his wife of 23 years and their 4 children.
Timothy J. Hoel
Funeral Director
Tim is a native of Elwood Indiana and has been Licensed for 25 years. He graduated from Mid America College of Funeral Service. He has been married 26 years to Stephanie and has four children.
Tim enjoys Coaching Youth football and wrestling and spending time with his family.
Steve Green
Pre-arrangement Counselor
Steve has been with Meeks since 1999 and is well versed in questions pertaining to pre-arrangement and insurance needs. Steve is a motorcycle and vintage car enthusiast.
Nancy Myers
Office Manager
Nancy started with Meeks in 1987. She oversees the daily operations of the office and accounts receivable. Nancy enjoys gardening, decorating, and spending time with her grandchildren and family in her spare time.
Dick Hall
Funeral Service Associate
Dick is a native of Muncie and graduated from Royerton High School. He retired after thirty-two years with General Motors. Dick has been involved with High School athletics for over forty-five years as an official and an observer. He has been an employee with the Meeks Mortuary for over ten years.
Joseph Sutherland
Funeral Service Associate
Joe retired from Sutherland Travel Service after forty plus years. He has been associated with the Meeks Mortuary and Crematory since 2006. Joe and his wife Jolena live in Muncie.
Duane Hobley
Funeral Service Associate
Duane is a graduate of Indiana University, where he received his B.S. and MBA in Business. He owned and managed insurance and real estate agencies for over thirty-seven years. Duane has been an active member of many civic organizations and is currently serving on many boards at Riverside Baptist Church.
Bradley Bunner
Funeral Service Associate
Bradley is a native of Farmland and graduated from Monroe Central High School. He worked for the Meeks Mortuary as a co-op student during High School and has now returned to work with us. Bradley enjoys model airplanes and camping.
Dewayne Loveless
Dewayne graduated from Blackford County High School in 1972 and has resided in Delaware County for over 35 years. He enjoys spending time with his wife of 35 years, his 2 children and his 4 grandchildren along with being outdoors.
Brenda Flowers
Administrative Assistant
Brenda grew up in Muncie and graduated from Muncie Northside High School. She enjoys motorcycle riding with her husband Bob and spending time with her family.
